DDC Public Affairs is pleased to announce the addition of Katie Chipps as Vice President, PAC Services. Chipps brings nearly 20 years of experience and leadership in PAC compliance and reporting at the federal, state and local level to DDC’s PAC Services team. In her new role, she will help manage PAC compliance and administration for DDC’s growing corporate and association PAC client base.
“We are thrilled to have Katie join our team. Her wealth of knowledge, experience and leadership will help ensure our PAC clients receive the best support and oversight in the industry,” said Peter Sherman, Senior Vice President, PAC Services.
Chipps most recently served as Second Vice President of External Relations at Travelers, where she oversaw all aspects of its PAC – serving as Treasurer, developing and implementing annual budgets, and administering effective compliance controls. In addition, she also managed the government relations compliance program.
Prior to joining Travelers, Chipps served as Manager of Federal Government Affairs at Northeast Utilities, where she represented Northeast Utilities before Congress, the Administration and other related agencies and associations. In this role, she also managed its PAC – producing all PAC-related materials and serving as Treasurer to ensure reporting and compliance with federal and state election laws.
Chipps began her career in government and politics, working for the Honorable Edward M. Kennedy in the Health Policy Office on the Committee on Labor and Human Resources.
“I am excited to join DDC Public Affairs and to be a part of the best PAC management team in the industry. I look forward to bringing my corporate and compliance experience to serve DDC’s prestigious and growing client base,” said Chipps.
