Dan Sweet is DDC’s Senior Vice President of Healthcare. With over 20 years of experience, Dan specializes in media relations, strategic communications, and crisis management. An astute leader with industry expertise, Dan has guided and executed high-level campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and major trade associations. Dan’s holistic approach to implementing strategies and programs has proven successful in advising both public and private-sector companies to reach their business goals.  
For the last 15 years, Dan has led healthcare public affairs and communications strategies for clients in pharmaceuticals, medical diagnostics, health IT and trade associations. At DDC, Dan provides strategic program development and innovative campaign management for clients across various industries, with a particular emphasis on the healthcare sector. 

Career Highlights: 
• Assisted in developing and leading a global public affairs collaborative for a Fortune 100 healthcare company focused on improving the global regulatory environment and promoting healthcare innovation around the world    
• Led a coalition of pharmacy associations and government organizations on a national campaign to promote vaccine efficacy and reduce hesitancy, particularly among underserved populations, during the COVID-19 pandemic  
• Created a crisis communications program for a major hospital system, including developing protocols and running simulations, and served as the main crisis counselor for guiding the system through numerous crises 
• Led a coalition of healthcare organizations to protect 340B hospitals from federal legislative efforts to dismantle the program
