Check out our interview and learn a bit more about Kevin below!

Congratulations! Let’s start with a little introduction to your role here at DDC. How would you describe your position?

I am currently an Associate Vice President in the Client Relations department. I lead the day to day operations on a number of advocacy accounts that aim to solve our client’s complex issues. I ensure that we are amplifying their voice by working with various DDC departments to bring forth traditional and non-traditional support to their cause.

Everybody has a morning routine. What are the first things you do when you arrive at the office in the morning?

First and foremost, coffee! I will then check emails and work with the account team to set deliverables for the day and week. After that, I will do a round of hellos to everyone in the office and then kick off the day.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

The great part about my position is there isn’t a typical workday, every day is different. Some days you may have strategy and account meetings, others coordinating with clients and teams in the field, or you may be putting your head down and working on deliverables. Regardless of what you plan on happening that day, you always have to be prepared to switch gears quickly to accommodate incoming requests and ensure you are able to get the proper personnel up and running.

How do you relax after a hard day of work?

I am a big sports fan, so usually by watching whatever game is on.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned while at DDC?

Always over communicate. It helps projects run much more smoothly and is greatly appreciated by your colleagues.

What skill outside of your work at DDC would you like to master?

Golf, I am terrible but still holding out hope that I can improve.

On a Sunday afternoon, where would we find you?

Either hiking or hanging out with friends!

What motivates you?

I am a competitive person, so wanting the accounts I work on to have the most success.

What has been your favorite memory at DDC thus far?

It’s hard to choose one, but I would say when our team was able to visit the Lockheed Martin F-35 plant. It was amazing to see the aircrafts being built and everything that goes into it.

DC is full of tourist attractions. What’s your favorite place to take visitors in the city?

The air and space museum, I still find it fascinating no matter how many times I go!
