Employee of The Quarter Spotlight: Annie Daly
September 13, 2019
Check out our interview and learn a bit more about Annie below!
Everybody has a morning routine. What are the first things you do when you arrive at the office in the morning?
First and foremost, coffee! From there, I will catch up on emails and write out my to-do list for the day. I live by my to-do list! It helps me prioritize my work and gives me a better understanding of my week ahead.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out in a digital role?
Get a good understanding of the different social platforms and then dive right in! Practice makes perfect and the more campaigns you set up and report on the better you will be at optimizing and providing strategy.
What does a regular work day look like for you?
Typically, my day consists of developing digital media plans for our clients, managing social properties, launching paid campaigns, and collaborating with the different departments at DDC. Recently, I have enjoyed working closely with the creative team to test and optimize different creatives in our campaigns to increase overall results.
What’s your favorite social media platform?
I love Instagram! My lifelong dream is for my dog to become insta-famous. Send him a follow at @jackthemixlab!
How do you relax after a hard day of work?
I watch a lot of Bravo! Nothing relaxes me more than the Real Housewives of NYC.
What skill outside of your work at DDC would you like to master?
I am currently taking golf lessons at East Potomac Golf Course. My goal by the end of the summer is to decrease the number of balls I “drop”!
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned while at DDC?
Don’t be afraid to collaborate with people outside your department.
