Vice President, Information Technology
As DDC’s Vice President of Information Technology, Michael leads a diverse team of engineers responsible for DDC’s core infrastructure, ensuring the availability, security, and optimization of our client hosting environment and corporate information systems.
Michael has worked in the technology field for more than 22 years. Prior to joining DDC, he worked as a contractor at a DC law firm where he developed a disaster recovery and data retention program for the firm to meet with regulatory guidelines. He also worked on projects to increase the overall security of the remote work force, as well as mobile device management.
Prior to his contractor role, Michael led technology initiatives at a private school in Maryland for more than 10 years as the Director of Technology. In this capacity, he managed the IT support staff, teachers, and network engineers; developed a network infrastructure supporting 1,200 users; and served as the chair of the Education Technology Department. He also served for four years as a member of the Technology board for Association of Independent Maryland & DC Schools (AIMS). Michael started his career as a micro-electronics technician building prototype electronics for the Navy.
Michael served as a volunteer Firefighter/EMTB for Howard County for 15 years. He received Howard County’s Maryland Volunteer of the Year 1998. His most memorable experience was assisting in the delivery of a baby in an ambulance on the 4th of July. In his spare time, he enjoys Scuba Diving.
