Vice President, Strategic Communications
Emily Cerling is a Vice President of Strategic Communications where she plays a key role in creating the advocate experience with coordinated communications tactics that transform lukewarm supporters into enthusiastic champions. As the primary communicator on key campaigns, her goal is to help clients design, build, and sustain long-term, multi-issue advocacy programs that engage a wide range of stakeholders through multiple vehicles, such as social media, email, websites, events and field outreach.
Before joining DDC, Emily worked in the sports and entertainment, higher education and nonprofit industries. With a diverse range of experience in communications and advertising, journalism, and events, she’s a “big picture” thinker, using her expertise and creativity to keep campaigns churning and delivering positive results.
Emily earned her B.A. from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN, and her M.A. in Communication, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University.
