Don Smialowicz

President & COO

As President & COO, Don oversees the company’s daily operations and designs the business strategies that ensure DDC is positioned to meet business objectives and deliver client value.

Leading a diverse group of technical and professional services teams, Don has seen the company through periods of significant growth and transformation. This includes playing a lead role in the company’s M&A activity and the acquisition by The Omnicom Group, where he managed the due diligence process, relationships with key stakeholders, and setting the integration and change management strategy for the firm. Don also has led a strategic restructuring of operations and the relocation of its headquarters from suburban Maryland to downtown Washington, D.C. Before joining DDC, Don was with Burson-Marsteller’s grassroots communications division, The Direct Impact Company, where his focus was on human resource management and organizational development.

Don resides in Maryland with his wife, two daughters and a super high-energy Australian Shepherd. He earned his M.B.A. from the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA, and B.A. from Hobart College in Geneva, NY.
