DDC Public Affairs & DHD Films Named “Marketer of the Year”

DDC Public Affairs and its partner, DHD Films, were recently honored by the American Marketing Association DFW Chapter as the “Marketer of the Year” for their work on behalf of Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). The team also won in the Public Relations category for the video, “A Day in the Life of DART,” one component of an ongoing communications campaign that’s driving support for increased funding for public transportation.

“It’s great to be recognized by your peers for creating exceptional work,” said Morgan Lyons, Vice President, External Relations, for DART. “But it’s even more rewarding to have such great partners to help create the work and share a passion for it and the story we’re telling.”

The award-winning campaign is designed to reinforce DART’s critical role in the region’s prosperity and growth. Challenged by local mindsets that building more roads is the solution to the growing region’s massive transportation issues, the animated video communicates how DART impacts the lives of every North Texan, whether they ride or not, by alleviating congestion on local highways and byways. These efforts are helping DART combat misinformation by reclaiming the narrative about the role rapid transit plays as a reliable, transparent, and forward-thinking infrastructure program.
