DDC Wins More Pollies

zzDSC_0556Washington, DC – DDC, the leader in issue advocacy for nearly two decades, is proud to announce that it has been awarded two coveted Pollie Awards from the AAPC, the industry’s highest honor bestowed upon political consultants at the national and international levels. DDC was recognized for its exemplary work in web design for PAC donation pages and in radio advertising campaigns at the national level.

This is the second year in a row DDC has been recognized by the AAPC—and the second year the firm submitted entries to the Pollie Awards. The firm’s work on behalf of General Motors PAC, the automobile manufacturer’s political action committee, earned a silver Pollie in the Web Design category (“Best Landing Page/Donation Page). In the Radio Public Affairs division, DDC won the silver for “Best Use of Radio for a National Organization” for its work on behalf of the National Association of REALTORS®’ for the “Down the Drain: Fighting Article 3 in Maine” campaign.

With more than 2,400 entries, this year’s Contest was the largest in AAPC history. “It’s exciting to see the growth of the industry reflected in the Pollie Awards,” said AAPC President Art Hackney. “We continue to refine categories, making the contest easier to enter—yet harder to win. This year’s winners represent the very best in the business of politics.”

The AAPC announced this year’s winners at the 2015 Annual Pollie Awards & Conference on March 19 in New Orleans, LA. The Pollie Awards are bipartisan honors awarded annually by the AAPC to members of the political advertising and communications industry who have demonstrated superior work on behalf of their candidates and causes. A blind jury of their peers selects AAPC award winners. Esquire magazine has dubbed the Pollies as “…the Oscars of political advertising.”
