Jim Gianiny serves as President of DDC. Under his leadership, DDC has been celebrated as one of the fastest-growing technology and advocacy firms in the country, and his vision has helped establish the firm on the international market as a leading, full-service public affairs partner.
With a career dedicated to public affairs and issue advocacy, Jim has been recognized as an innovator in designing and implementing some of the most sophisticated advocacy programs in existence today. He has helped evolve advocacy offerings from single-issue campaigns to long-term, sustained engagement programs for clients facing critical public policy issues. This development has helped Fortune 500 clients and leading trade associations engage millions of advocates in innovative ways—online and off—while establishing ongoing and effective communications programs that help put those most impacted by legislative and regulatory challenges at the forefront of issue debates.
In his 18-year career with DDC, Jim has also served as Chief Operating Officer, for which he drove growth of the firm’s technology product line from a single online grassroots application to a full array of grassroots and PAC-management systems.
Prior to joining DDC, Jim was a founding member of the Direct Impact Company, today the grassroots arm of Burson-Marsteller, coordinating company operations and overseeing the firm’s lauded growth during the 1990s.
Jim earned his B.S. in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
