Associate Vice President, Client Relations
Amanda Karpay is an Associate Vice President of Client Relations at DDC. Amanda builds and executes multifaceted campaigns that combine the disciplines of public relations, public policy, digital strategy, grassroots, marketing, and branding on behalf of DDC’s clients. In this role, Amanda provides strategic counsel and oversees execution of day to day program operations.
With a decade of experience in communications strategy, brand management, and advocacy, Amanda works with clients to build reputations and persuade audiences to action. Prior to joining DDC, Amanda was the Deputy Director of Digital Communications at Correct the Record (CTR), where she created, planned, and managed the execution of integrated digital engagement and advocacy campaigns in support of Secretary Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Before joining CTR, Amanda was an Account Executive at Fenton Communications where she designed and executed media relations campaigns. From 2014 – 2017, she served as a member of the White House advance team under the Obama Administration where she traveled around the country on behalf of the White House to staff President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. Amanda’s career began as a legislative correspondent on Capitol Hill and later in policy for two Fortune 500 companies. She’s also worked on a variety of Congressional campaigns throughout the years.
Amanda graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) with a double major in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs and French Language and Literature. While at SMU, Amanda served as a perception analyst for CNN during the 2007 presidential debates where she caught the political bug. She and her husband live in D.C. and enjoy hosting friends at their home, hiking in the Shenandoah, and trying all the burgers and beers at local breweries.
